Tim schilling is back taking a look at “Scream 4.” Though the film received some positive reviews, it didn’t scream its way to the top of the box office. How is the film two years later? Let’s dig in!

Overall: #Scream4 was more of a meta horror film for itself instead of the rest of the genre and reboots/remakes, if that makes any sense, and it totally works. I love the reasoning for the murders to start up again, and (save for one exception) the acting was good and convicting.

Our resident Twitter reviewer Tim Schilling is continuing his Scream marathon with the often overlooked “Scream 3.” I’ve always had a good time with this sequel. Let’s see if Tim does as well….

Does #Scream3 get all the shit it deserves? Well, I’m not sure because I don’t really even remember this one

0:04 Cotton’s an asshole driver.
0:09 I liked Cotton. I wish he wasn’t killed off.
0:09 This intro wasn’t bad but it doesn’t even touch the first two movies.

0:24 Isn’t being 35 playing a 21 year old a compliment?
0:32 How could they automatically assume they are killing people in order of the script after two deaths?
0:33 This totally has to be Joe from Family Guy.

Overall: While #Scream3 wasn’t as smart and as self referencing as the first two, it is still really good. I think it tries too hard to connect all three movies and ways it works and others it doesn’t. It doesn’t deserve all the hate it gets.

Our resident Twitter reviewer Tim Schilling is back with another tweet by tweet review looking at the scary slasher sequel “Scream 2.” A few people find this one to be even better (ME! ME! ME!) than the original. Let’s see if he does as well.

Out of all the movies in the series, I’ve seen #Scream2 the least. That’s a shame.

Thoughts while watching:
0:02 I think going to a showing like this would be tons of fun.
0:03 Doing the whole movie in a movie thing based on the first movie is seriously a stroke of genius.
0:07 Scary Movie 2 ruined the bathroom scene for me.
0:10 I love the opening scene to this one, almost as much as the first.
0:17 The horror genre was destroyed by sequels.

0:33 I never realized this but they made it obvious there were two killers early on.

Overall: If anything, #Scream2 is even more genius than the first one. Almost every single line takes all the cliches of horror movies and sequels twists them up and makes it it’s own amazingly smart movie.

0:02 This opening scene made me run and cry when I first saw it. Not even joking. I was like 10.
0:03 Because I want to know who I’m looking at.
0:10 I really wish I could go back to the first time I saw this movie. I was TERRIFIED.
0:13 Casey just hanging there is so creepy.
0:20 You see so many different things each time you watch this movie no matter what.
0:28 This is the Mean Girls of horror movies. (It’s so damn quoteable.)

Overall: Well, #Scream is one of my all time favorites and it always will be. The countless references, great acting, awesome characters and actually creepy scenes make it one of the best horror movies ever made in my opinion.

Tim Schilling is back to slice into the Friday the 13th remake. Does it hold up to the original or is it simply dead in the water?

Thoughts before watching:
Finishing the whoooole thing off with the remake of the original that started it all! By the way, I’m watching the “killer cut” edition, so I’m not sure if that makes any difference.

Thoughts while watching:
0:09 Something happen already.
0:10 Those aren’t real.
0:13 I love that song, but they played it for 20 seconds for no reason at all!
0:14 What a convenient time for a cop to drive by.
0:17 Hahahah gross.
0:24 I completely forgot that they didn’t show the title till just now. 24 minutes in.
0:27 First Asian character for this series? I mean it’s only 2009.
0:34 I wish something would happen already.
0:43 What a lame way he got his mask.
0:47 The scene on the lake is actually kind of cool only because she gets hit in the head with a boat.

Overall: Production wise, #FridayThe13th (2009) actually wasn’t that bad. Story wise, it was painfully boring. I wanted it to end 45 minutes in and the actors looked like they had absolutely no chemistry together on screen, something even the older movies in the series had.

Besides Part 7, #JasonGoesToHell is the only movie in this series I have never seen. I get the feeling I should have kept it that way

0:02 Instantly thought of Argento’s Demons during this opening scene.
0:10 Those are not intestines. Those are plastic tubes.
0:24 If Jason took over a boat the size of a cruise ship that would make this 100x better.
0:30 Another bitch character in this one.
0:33 They should never have killed off Ralph.
0:45 This should have been called Jason Takes a Boat and it would have been so much better.

0:54 I don’t know if it’s the DVD versions I have but these last two movies have been edited so much.

Overall: Unfortunately #FridayThe13th Part VII #TheNewBlood went back to it’s boring ways again. I won’t even count the whole Carrie White thing because it was just completely random, and other than that, it was the same exact thing as the first 5 movies.
